Cellphone study allows new interface concept
The study "Minimal Touch" for Sony concentrated on the user-friendly operation. It was the first mobile phone with small, unprinted keys. The key size is ergonomically perfect, the resulting space can be used for even greater numbers/letters.
The characteristic curve was realized with a covered standard display. The circumferential soft band was developed as customisable diversification grip element and for shock protection.
The key concept was implemented later in other Sony models, later with the competitors.
